| Bio: | I'm a stay at home mom with no kids, i.e., unemployed. After 15 years as a preschool teacher, and 4 at the local Humane Society (mainly as a veterinary assistant), I now volunteer and serve on the Board of Directors at the same shelter. In addition to helping with general animal care, I spend one afternoon a week clicker training the shelter cats (my own three cats have learned a variety of commands and agility-style tricks via this method over the past five years).
I am a Constant Reader (I average 3-4 books a week); I like contemporary American/English fiction, and especially short horror fiction, but will read anything that catches my fancy on the library's New Arrivals shelf. My favorite writers are E.B. White, Harper Lee, Tim Sandlin, Christopher Moore, and Stephen King.
I also read a lot of graphic novels/comics. Peter Bagge, R. Crumb, Joe Matt, Alison Bechdel, Dori Seda, and Aline Kominsky are my favorite author/artists. |
